First time parents/first time natural birthing mothers are required to complete a childbirth education class & hire a doula.
We only take a handful of clients per month and tend to fill very quickly. The 28 week mark is the latest that we comfortably accept transfers. Occasionally, we are able to accept a transfer later in pregnancy. If you are transferring care, we will need a copy of your prenatal record. You can request a copy of your prenatal record from your previous provider and bring it to the office or fill out a Release of Information form (ROI) when you come to your first appointment.
No. But if you’re interested in doula services offered by Chicago Nurse Midwife, custom pricing can be provided to include doula care.
Birth supplies are not included in the total pricing. The contract includes a list of suggested supplies needed for home birth. The link to purchase the birth kit is also provided. Water birth supplies, including the birth pool & liner rental are not included in the home birth fee. Please inquire regarding water birth pool & supply rental.
